There are four women on the CD cover. The director, Lukáš Hlavica, chose these well known Czech actresses to depict one of the key elements about the of Song of Songs: that it is so to say the „woman’s book“.

He also decided to work with actors and actresses from different generations to illustrate that love accompanies you through all stages of life; it is not limited by space or time, and it is always beautiful and surprising. The youngest actress is Magdaléna Borová, then there is Dana Černá and Taťjana Medvecká, and all three of them together with Věra Kubánková, who was 91 at the time of the recording. When she says „my lover is mine and I am his“ it is just as strong as when it is said by her younger colleagues. The recording was in fact her last work in the studio, she died a few weeks before the Song of Songs CD was published.

Lukáš Hlavica also chose male actors from different generations: from the youngest Matouš Ruml, to the oldest Petr Pelzer.
